As many of you know, my dissertation is on the conversion of the baptized. As I daily immerse myself in the writing of John Paul II, I often think to myself, ‘If I ever get a chance to defend this, the panel is going to say, ‘Well, duh!” Obviously, conversion works this way. And yet, it is so far away from the way we as Catholics approach our task.
Recently, a young man gave his testimoney to a young adult assembly in California. He expresses perfectly what I mean. It’s about a half hour long, but I encourage anyone who is interested in evangelization and the renewal of the Church to listen to what he says and reflect on what it would mean if we took the conversion of the baptized seriously.

That was a powerful testimony! That is what conversion is all about. I am writing my thesis on Von Balthasar now. He beautiful ties sanctity and theology together.
