About
I Took the Road Less Travelled By
And it has Made all the Difference

One day, in the midst of a full and productive life, it occurred to me that I needed a change of scenery. ‘What would you like to do, if you could do anything you wanted?’ asked the Lord. ‘I’d either like to be a missionary in Europe, or start on a PhD,’ I said.
‘How about both?’ He replied. So, I left my job, sold everything I had, gave the money to the United States Department of Education, and followed him, first to Austria (a scenic route which included France, Germany, Slovakia, Poland, Hungary and Croatia), and then to Ireland.
It’s been one of the best surprises of my life.
What I’m doing now
I am a PhD student at the Milltown Institute of Philosophy and Theology. I study in the mornings, and I work part time for Youth 2000 Ireland in the afternoon, developing materials and mentoring young people. I speak to youth and young adults about Jesus as often as I can. I serve on the Board of Directors for the first national Irish Christian Radio Station, Spirit Radio, due to be on air by the end of 2008. And I do lots of other cool things too.
How you can help
Ireland is among the most expensive places to live in the world, and although I work part-time, I am still dependent upon the generosity of many people to help me be here. If you are interested in partnering with me in my ministry, I am in need of both spiritual and financial support. You can support me spiritually by keeping me in your daily prayers, and in your prayers for all missionaries … and theologians! You can also support me financially with a tax-deductible donation by clicking the ‘Make a Donation’ link at the top of this page.
