Mini-Retreat in Lousivlle on Saturday

This weekend, I’m helping lead a mini-retreat (4 hours) for moms and dads of kids who will be receiving 1st communion soon. The retreat is entirely in Spanish, but I have my talk worked out. I’ll be giving a short (45 minute) talk about the Eucharist and “communio,” and my friend Matt (from Phoenix) will be giving a talk about vocation. Never too early to have parents thinking about it and praying for their kids’ discernment.
Please remember the parents and the first communicants in your prayers this weekend, that would be great. Oh, and remember me and Matt, too. It’s tough to deliver meaty theological material in a way that grabs people’s hearts, and it’s even tougher to do it in a language that you’re still feeling your way through.
