I Can Sing a Rainbow

If you’ve visited this site in the last few days, you’ve seen me messing with the color schemes. I can’t decide. Right now, I’m going with the idea that I should pull colors from the artwork, and use those on the rest of the page. But I’m kind of flailing about.
If you have suggestions about colors, I’d love to hear it. Unless you’re name is Bill.
Well, even if you’re name is Bill. I’m sure it’ll be worth a chortle, anyway.

Actually, I’ve got a good eye for colors. I think your blog looks exceptionally coordinated. I’m surprised your were able to match the color scheme of the blog to the colors in the pictures so well. However, the brown part around the outside is seriously clashing with the muted greens, blues and reds (and everything else for that matter).

Well, if you use the “color picker” tool in photoshop, or another photo editing tool (I use GIMP), it’s easy to find the hexidecimal web-code for any color. The brown color is actually taken from the halo around the heads of Jesus, Peter and Andrew. And you’re right, I don’t like it. I wonder what other color I should put there instead.

I think the colors look great. The messages, however, are about a foot below the picture. They don’t start ’til the sidebars end.

Hmm. Looks like you’re using IE6 or earlier. I wonder why this doesn’t work for IE6.
And, while I’m on that, you should upgrade to version 7, if your computer is able to run it. It has lots of security features that are useful in protecting you computer from bad stuff.

OK, I found something online that, when I applied it to this problem, solved the problem. It should load correctly in IE6 as well as IE7 and Firefox. It even loads imperfectly but acceptably in IE5.5 and IE5.01. Problem solved.

And as for upgrading, well you can do that for me next time you’re here if you like. The whole reason I had children was so they could take care of my technology for me and then they all moved out. Go figure.
